How I stopped buying cosmetics and clothes
I am a person who likes to try out different products, replace old products with new ones and ultimately – I would not have anything to write here if I don’t do that. In the past year I’ve been trying to be more moderate in buying everything, not just cosmetics and clothing. I do not want to accumulate products that never see the light of day and spend money on products that I do not get use of.
It happened to me a hundred times where I bought cotton pads because I thought I used it all and then I found that I had an unopened package at home. It started irritating me because I did not even get to know what I had in stock and then bought it accordingly. I could not go to the drugstore for one thing and not to come back with four more unnecessary things.
I started asking myself questions “Do I need this” or “when will I use this”. I started thinking rationally and making lists for everything I could buy. Really, who needs four white T-shirts that look the same? Do you really need that red nail polish you look at on the shelf at the store, and last time you wearing a red nail polish was ten years ago? You want to buy a black leather skirt, and you have never worn skirts and it is a great possibility that you will not even wear this one?
When you start thinking logically, you can save a lot of money. I always bought nail polishes before and I never used it. Buying would be justified by “so maybe I will need it one day”. Do not misunderstand me and think that I have a bunch of products packed in closets as some American YouTubers. Not nearly.
Makeup Revolution Conceal And Define Concealer
I’m currently in the phase of trying out new products and I hope to find some new favorites I could write about. I always use the same concealer all over again so I decided to introduce something new to my routine.
-MY OPINION ABOUT THE CONCEALER-
I ordered Makeup Revolution Conceal And Define Concealer in the shade C3 from beautybay.com. This is a fairly bright color with a cold undertone but the shade itself looks pink on the swatch. The shade suits my skin tone, it’s not too bright for me, just as I like. I applied the concealer on to my whole face and I can say that it has a perfectly solid coverage. This shade is ideal for hiding the bags underneath my eyes, but it’s a little too bright for my face.
The concealer is rather thick, thicker than Catrice’s liquid camouflage. As I started to blend it in, something bad started happening. I used a sponge and a brush, and I could not really blend the concealer without letting it move from place to place. It is a little easier to blend it with a sponge and it is not so dry that way, but it is almost impossible to blend it nicely. It is worse with a brush because the brush streaks remain, but the coverage is slightly higher because the brush does not absorb so many products as a sponge.

If you want to learn more about ingredients in skincare, I suggest the SkinCarisma page. You can search for a specific product there in the search bar and see all the ingredients within seconds. If a product is not available, you can find the ingredients yourself and enter them in the Cosmetic Analyzer section. In both cases, you will see all the ingredients and an explanation of what the ingredients are, how they affect the particular skin type and whether they are good or harmful. This site has helped me many times in choosing a product, it’s a real gem.
I believe that we have all at least once found ourselves in a situation where we do not remember how long we have a product and whether it is even safer to use. The CheckFresh page can check this for you. On this page, you can check the manufacturing date by batch number to determine how old a product is.

Žena.hr box, December 2016: first impressions
I ordered the žena.hr beauty box at the beginning of the month, the price of it is 75 kunas. Everyone who’s keeping an eye on these type of beauty boxes (or has a friend who’s mad about those :D) knows that this box is sold out as soon as it comes out. The reason behind that is the low price of 75 kunas and usually you can get a much higher value of products than you paid for. That’s how most beauty boxes work and that’s the point of it. Although, I read that some customers complain about not receiving a ton of high-end products in their boxes. I personally love these boxes and every time I have some spare money, I buy myself a beauty box because I like to try out new products. I much prefer when I try out some sample and then I know does the product work for me or not. I don’t like when I buy a full size product and get disappointed. Enough rambling, let’s get to the box and what’s in there.
The box was packed into another box with protection which I really like, nothing can break in transport. I already ordered this beauty box once and the packaging was the same. This red-gold combo reminds me a lot of Christmas! When I opened the whole thing I noticed a gold rapping paper with a little chocolate inside it, I loved that! I have a sweet tooth so that chocolate didn’t survive further photographing haha.
There were 7 products in the žena.hr box for December of 2016, and three of them were full sized. First I saw the Nivea Black&White Clear Deodorant, 35 ml. I used this deodorant before, as I remember, it left no traces on the clothes. That’s definitely a major problem when a deodorant does that. I didn’t try the 48h duration and generally I don’t believe in those kind of things. The full size is 150 ml and it costs 23 kunas.
Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Eyeshadow Palette
I have not used the Makeup Revolution palettes for so long, I actually started my beauty journey using their palettes so I wanted to remind myself of their quality. They constantly have something new on the market so I decided to try out a new palette and see if it’s practical and good quality.
I’ve been looking so long for an eyeshadow palette that has shimmer and mat colors, that has earthy and bronze colors. A palette that has darker shades and lighter shades with which a daily look and night look can be made. This Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Eye Shadow Palette Decadent is perfect for my needs at this time.
It has 18 shades and a large mirror, a metal packaging that is very firm and you can’t open it easily. The palette contains seven shimmer shades and eleven mat shades. The pigmentation is very good, and it may be even better if you spray a small amount of setting spray on the brush and apply the eyeshadow. On the other hand, the pigmentation is best if you apply eyeshadow with clean fingers, which is the case with most eyeshadow palettes.
As for blending, I did not have any problems with that. All shades are creamy enough so they can be beautifully blended and do not look dry on the eyelid. Mat shades have a slight fallout, this is more noticeable with darker shades, so be sure to shake the excess off before applying it to the lid. For lighter shades, the fallout is minimal, and there is no fallout with shimmer shades. The shades do not fade after a while and they look great on the eyelid.

After a short holiday break, here I am again with new posts. I hope you had a good rest during the holidays. Over the past year I have had the opportunity to try many products, and today I am writing to you about products that completely knocked me off my feet.
In terms of makeup and cosmetics, the past year has been really good. Brands are increasingly trying to place good quality products on the market and everyone can find something for themselves. I have blogged about many products of different price ranges, and throughout the past year I had an emphasis on skin care along with some pieces of decorative cosmetics.
I came across a lot of products that were amazing, there were also some products that didn’t fit me at all. The products that disappointed me were in the minority, which is great. I set myself the task of not opening new products until I used up the old ones and the system still works pretty well. This greatly saved me from piling up the products and gave me the chance to try out all the products I own without rushing.
I’ve made a list of the best beauty products for 2019. I’ve already written about most of them, so I’ll include links to reviews along with the products.

I did not know what I would get in the package, but I have to say that they have made a great effort in choosing products. The package came in a large box, and in that box was a gift bag covered with lots of bubbles. So there’s no chance of something breaking or spilling.
Small samples and products in full size packaging could also be found in the package. Each of those products will find a place in my routine, and Notino paid special attention to finding the right products for my skin type. So let’s start presenting the products. 🙂
The first thing I saw is the Korika SciBeauty face mask with natural extracts and hyaluronic acid. Interestingly, I did not actually use any sheet masks yet and this will be the first one. Then there is a sample of Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Creme that I already had and I liked it. There are also three samples of Medi Blanc toothpaste – Whitening, Whitening Aloe Vera and Strong Black. I like these small samples because then I know in advance what to buy or not buy.
