After a short holiday break, here I am again with new posts. I hope you had a good rest during the holidays. Over the past year I have had the opportunity to try many products, and today I am writing to you about products that completely knocked me off my feet.
In terms of makeup and cosmetics, the past year has been really good. Brands are increasingly trying to place good quality products on the market and everyone can find something for themselves. I have blogged about many products of different price ranges, and throughout the past year I had an emphasis on skin care along with some pieces of decorative cosmetics.
I came across a lot of products that were amazing, there were also some products that didn’t fit me at all. The products that disappointed me were in the minority, which is great. I set myself the task of not opening new products until I used up the old ones and the system still works pretty well. This greatly saved me from piling up the products and gave me the chance to try out all the products I own without rushing.
I’ve made a list of the best beauty products for 2019. I’ve already written about most of them, so I’ll include links to reviews along with the products.
Apart from the Beauty Blender sponge, Real Techniques sponges are one of the most popular makeup application tools on the market. I have been using RT sponges for over a year now and they are really number one if you want a natural looking foundation on your face.
I must have said this several times, I was a strict advocate of brushes before I’d tried the Real Techniques sponge. I loved my brushes and I rarely used anything else other than them. I still like to use brushes today, but most of the time I am in a hurry and don’t have time for the whole procedure of using the sponge.
Today I’m going to compare the Real Techniques Original Collection Base large sponge and the Real Techniques Original Collection Finish mini base sponge. Both sponges are made from the same foam material, and the only difference is in size and purpose. After washing, the sponges should be well drained so they do not absorb the product you are going to be applying.
Shea butter products are extremely good for dry and sensitive skin. Shea butter softens the skin, has an anti-inflammatory and healing effect and reduces redness on the skin. Today I am going to introduce to you two products that contain this amazing ingredient.
Shea butter is extracted from the nuts of shea tree that grow in tropical Africa, and has been used by African women for thousands of years for its medicinal properties. Due to its ability to penetrate deeply into the skin, Shea butter is very moisturizing and suitable for the most sensitive skin. It helps with various skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and seborrhea.
The high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins make it the ideal ingredient for softening the skin, which I noticed on my own skin using L’Occitane Karité BIO 100% Shea butter for dry skin. It is pure Shea butter that restores the hydrolipidic layer of the skin and provides a feeling of relief to dry and chapped skin.
L’Occitane Shea butter comes in a small metal container in the form of a balm. It is thick in texture and has absolutely no odor or color. It does not leave that oily residue on the skin as oil does, but blends with the skin and it is not noticeable that you have anything else on your face other than a moisturizer.
In addition to Christmas gifts, a holiday makeup look is also essential. I have prepared for you a classic Christmas makeup look with red lipstick and sequins. In addition to the review, at the end of this post I have one announcement for you.
As you might have already guessed, today’s post is inspired by Christmas and warm colors. I will present you a red lipstick and lip pencil, a gold liquid eyeliner, and a gold highlighter and a pink blush.
Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe lip set, a matte liquid lipstick and pencil in the shade Regal. The shade is red-orange, which looks very warm on the lips and gives a holiday look. The lipstick is very long-lasting, it doesn’t budge after eating and it doesn’t spill on the corners of the lips.
All I need on a daily basis is a good mascara, some eyebrow product, some foundation and a blush. Sometimes I put on an eye liner and that is about it when it comes to makeup. I’m always wearing the “no makeup” makeup look.
It is very important for me to have a good mascara that is easy to apply and will not smudge during the day. I currently use Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying lengthening mascara for fuller lashes, in black. It extends the lashes very nicely, curls them and gives them volume.
Although it’s quite wet at first, it doesn’t give that spider effect to the eyelashes and you can still work with it. It has a rubber brush with ten layers of hair, the brush is curled so it can easily reach every eyelash. It separates the eyelashes nicely and the brush is the ideal size for applying mascara to both the upper and lower lashes.
Choosing gifts is one of my favorite activities during this pre-Christmas time and I am always full of ideas. What to choose as a gift for your loved ones? If you need some ideas for Christmas presents, you’re in the right place.
The ideal gift any woman would like to receive is a good foundation or a good face cream. Here I have to suggest Clinique Superdefense CC Cream with SPF 30, a great product for everyday use. It has a medium coverage, protects the skin from sunlight and evens out the complexion.
The best thing about this CC cream is that it doesn’t highlight the dry parts at all but gives it extra moisture. It covers some redness and irregularities, but it will not cover a lot of redness or inflamed acne. It provides hydration and the skin simply looks fresh and healthy for hours after application.
For myself, I chose the shade 02 Light, which blends perfectly with my complexion and looks really nice on my face. It has a very thick texture so I prefer to apply it with clean fingers, in the end, I just blend it a little with a sponge or brush.
During these winter months, I am always reaching for gentle and nourishing products, both on my face and body. So this time I decided to try out whether aluminum-free deodorant really works and whether thermal water can improve skin condition.
It’s difficult to find the ideal tool for applying makeup. A brush or a sponge – a question that has come through your mind at least once. Choose a brush if you want more coverage, choose a sponge if you want more of a natural look.
Personally, I was a big fan of brushes until I tried the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge for foundation application. The whole makeup look made with that sponge looked very natural and I loved it because of that. Of course, the sponges have to be changed every few months, so it was time for me to replace mine.
I found a decent replacement for the RT brush and it is the H&M Makeup Queen sponge. When soaked, it increases in volume and it’s very soft. The sponge should be well drained before applying makeup, I usually drain it over the sink and then dry it with a towel so it’s not soaking wet but damp.
You must have noticed that in the last few months, I have talked more about preparative cosmetics than decorative cosmetics. Makeup is my first love and the reason why I started this blog at all, but over time I realized that skin care was equally important. I will do my best to keep an equal ratio of makeup and skincare on the blog in the future. Today’s post is all about Artdeco foundation and compact powder.
We all love a good foundation, don’t we? How to choose a proper liquid foundation at all? When choosing a foundation, pay attention to details such as texture, coverage, skin type and choose the right product accordingly. It’s not a bad idea to look for a review or video to see what that foundation looks like, and even better if the person reviewing the product has the same skin type as you. You can apply the same principle when choosing a foundation or powder shade.
Today I’m talking about two Artdeco products – a liquid foundation and a compact powder. Artdeco Perfect Teint Foundation in the shade 12 Soft Vanilla is a liquid oil-free foundation that has medium to high coverage. I’m very pale, especially in the winter, and this neutral shade is perfect for my skin tone. It covers the redness really well and evens out the complexion. It has a very liquid and dry texture and dries very quickly on the skin. The powder should be blended very quickly after application to the face as it dries very quickly and can no longer be handled when dried.
