Pixi Glow Tonic

Using toners has been a crucial part of my skin care routine for years. I apply it with a cotton pad on a cleansed skin, then I’m sure my skin is clean and ready to apply the rest of the my skin care. I currently use a glycolic acid toner, and you can find out more about it below.

Glycolic acid is one of the AHA (alpha hydroxy) acids and provides a very gentle exfoliation of the skin, eliminating dead skin cells which results in a more radiant and cleaner complexion. It can be found in a variety of products, and it’s most commonly recommended for people with acne as it can reduce scarring and promote skin cells renewal. With the use of glycolic acid, as well as any exfoliating acid, it’s recommended to apply a sunscreen to avoid skin damage due to sun exposure.

I received a Pixi Glow Tonic as a gift and could hardly wait to start using it. I haven’t used glycolic acid so far, so initially I only used this toner 2-3 times a week. That was enough to see if I’ll have any reactions to this product, now I use it every day and mostly in the evenings. I noticed that my face was clearer and the complexion was more beautiful and even. The occurrence of small pimples has decreased and stubborn blackheads started disappearing in some places.glowtonic

This toner contains 5% glycolic acid, it also contains aloe vera, which soothes and moisturizes the skin, alongside red ginseng – an antioxidant that removes fine lines, restores skin’s natural balance and reduces sebum secretion. This product doesn’t dry out my skin at all, it doesn’t contain alcohol, and has a very mild refreshing scent.

In a very short period time, I noticed that my skin was incredibly soft and clear, and that I no longer had tiny patches of old pimples I used to have before. The toner absorbs into the skin very quickly and I don’t have any feeling of skin tightening when using it.

I didn’t have any burning sensation on my face because this tonic is really very mild but on the other hand very effective in evening out the complexion. The face is radiant, moisturized and refreshed afterwards, other products absorb better after applying this tonic.pixi-glow-tonic

-Yes or No?-

It’s amazing how much a single product can mean a lot and deliver visible results within a month. Already after a week of use, I saw the results, but I wasn’t sure if it was just a coincidence or Pixi Glow Tonic was responsible for it.

Before I try new products and introduce them to my regular routine, I first start using one product at a time and use them for a couple of days so I know what helps me the most. So I knew that the tonic was responsible for everything I listed above and helped my skin. Before introducing acids into your routine, be sure to do a patch test and try it on a smaller part of your skin to make sure it is safe for you to use and continue or discontinue accordingly.pixi-glycolictoner

High concentrations of glycolic acid can irritate the skin, so it’s not recommended for people with sensitive skin. Also, it shouldn’t be applied to burns and open wounds, don’t use it if your skin doesn’t tolerate the use of acids. Like any product that contains a certain percentage of acid, this tonic can dry out the skin unless you moisturize the skin after use. Don’t forget about a good moisturizer to avoid drying out your skin.

You have my recommendations for this product! πŸ™‚

Have you tried it yet?
